ANTHONY BROWN & group therAPy MAKES HISTORY AT 31st ANNUAL STELLAR AWARDS

Anthony Brown & group therAPy celebrated a historic night last week at the 31st Annual Stellar Awards. Brown won a record-breaking 10 awards at the Stellar Awards ceremony which were taped last Saturday at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

Brown won in all major categories including Artist of the Year, CD of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Group/Duo of the Year and the State Farm Song of the Year for the hit song “Worth.”

“This has literally been the most overwhelming experience in my life,” said Brown. “I love gospel music and I love the Stellar Awards and I’ve always wondered what it would feel like to be on that stage. I never dreamed that when I got the opportunity, it would be like THIS.  It is a dream come true and is proof that God remembers …”

Complete with fireworks, dancers and singers Brown’s performance set the tone for the night. Bringing an energy and excitement unseen before at the Stellar Awards Brown gave a thrilling performance to open the telecast with a dynamic medley of “Bless The Lord,” and “Worth.”

Hot off the heels of the riveting performance, “Bless The Lord,” will be serviced to gospel radio, while his hit song, “Worth” remains the #1 song on both gospel airplay charts Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart & Mediabase Gospel Songs Chart. It has remained at number 1 for a 23 combined weeks on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart. “Worth,” is also number 1 on the Gospel Digital Songs Chart for its 15th combined week.

The 31st Annual Stellar Awards are set to premiere this Sunday, March 6th on TV One at 6:00pm EST with re-broadcasts at 8:00pm and 10:00pm EST.  The Stellar Awards will also broadcast March 12-April 10 in national syndication on 150 Stations in over 120 cities.
